Description
Argent, a cross Gules, on a saltire Azure, that portion of the saltire upon the cross fimbriated of the field, a projectile scintillant Or, on a chief of the second a fleur-de-lis of the field.

Symbolism
This contains the shield of the 192d Field Artillery with the projectile of the shield of the 152d Field Artillery, thus illustrating the battle honors earned by the former organization in the War of the Revolution, the Civil War and World War I.

Background
The distinctive unit insignia was originally approved for the 203d Field Artillery Regiment on 8 October 1942.  It was rescinded on 7 June 1955.

Those for the regiments of the Connecticut and Maine Army National Guard:  Connecticut:  On a wreath of the colors Argent and Gules, a grapevine supported and fructed Proper.  Maine:  On a wreath of the colors Argent and Gules, a pine tree Proper.

Shield

This contains the shield of the 192d Field Artillery with the projectile of the shield of the 152d Field Artillery, thus illustrating the battle honors earned by the former organization in the War of the Revolution, the Civil War and World War I.  The motto is a composite of the mottoes of the parent organizations, i.e., that of the 192d Field Artillery (Skill and Force) and of the 152d Field Artillery (On the Way).

Crest

The crests are those of the Connecticut and Maine Army National Guard.

Background
The coat of arms was originally approved for the 203d Field Artillery Regiment on 16 October 1942.  It was redesignated for the 203d Field Artillery Battalion on 8 November 1943.  It was amended change the blazon of the shield on 2 June 1945.  The insignia was rescinded on 7 June 1955.
